Key Responsibilities :

  • You will report to the Head of Thermal and Engineering.
  • Visit customers to promote Nippon Koei Energy services and execute projects.
  • Perform technical feasibility studies and due diligence reports.
  • Write and review technical specifications for power plant electrical equipment and systems.
  • Perform and review calculations for electrical equipment and systems.
  • Design and review drawings (single line & relay diagrams and logic diagrams, schematics, grounding, lighting, cables and raceways, general arrangements, etc.)
  • Perform equipment sizing and selection, including bid evaluation (Transformer, Switchgear, Motor and Control Centre, Emergency Generator, UPS, Instrument, Cable, Communication Equipment, etc.)
  • Participate in EPC contract negotiations.
  • Prepare Project scheduling.
  • Perform man-hour estimations and assist in proposal work.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in an Engineering Discipline, preferably in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Min 3 years of experience, preferably in wind or solar power projects.
  • Computer skills proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Word, AutoCAD and multiple engineering design) and knowledge of electrical simulation software (like ETAP or CYME or Digsilent).
  • PVsyst software and solar design experiences are the asset.
  • Flexible, good planner and organizer.
  • Solid analytical skills and have an eye for the detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously and be proactive.
  • Dynamic and have excellent interpersonal skills, willing to learn and good team player.
  • Solid communication skills are a must – communicates regularly with customers, subcontractors, and vendors on technical topics.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written skills.
  • You are willing to travel for short term missions for project or training purposes.
  • The position is based in Bangkok (Two Pacific Tower – Nana BTS Station).
