Nippon Koei Energy Thailand recently welcomed Mr. Hiroshi Yokota, President of Nippon Koei Energy Solutions, together with senior management from the Head Office, for a series of strategic engagements aimed at strengthening collaboration, partnerships, and organizational unity in Thailand.
As part of the visit, Mr. Koichi Nishimura, President of Nippon Koei Energy Thailand, led the senior management team on a visit to the Chonburi Clean Energy (CCE) Facility, located within WHA Chonburi Industrial Estate 1. CCE is one of Thailand’s most advanced waste‑to‑energy facilities and the first in Southeast Asia to meet European emission standards. The plant converts more than 400 tons of non‑hazardous industrial waste per day into 8.63 MW of electricity, contributing significantly to sustainable energy generation in the region.
Nippon Koei Energy Thailand has played an important role in the success of the CCE project. In 2017, the company was selected by the consortium comprising Veolia (formerly Suez), GPSC (formerly Glow Energy), and WHA Utilities and Power (WHA‑UP) to act as the local technical advisor. Nippon Koei Energy Thailand provided technical support throughout the project’s development until the facility achieved commercial operation in 2019.
In addition to these strategic discussions, the leadership visit coincided with a special New Year gathering for the Nippon Koei Energy Thailand team. The event offered an opportunity to reflect on a year marked by commitment, resilience, and outstanding teamwork. The company’s achievements over the past year were made possible by the dedication and perseverance of its people, and the gathering served as a meaningful expression of appreciation for their collective efforts.
